The Bari Airport is located just 11 kilometres from the city centre. It’s even easier to reach the latter as you have many transportation options available to you:
- The bus: three different companies will take you on the journey to the centre of Bari. AMTAB, the city-owned company, is the most affordable. The Tempesta and Terravision shuttles are more expensive, but more direct: allow half an hour for the journey versus 40 to 60 minutes for their competitor.
- The train: Bari airport has its own station. Free from traffic jams, you’re sure to reach the heart of the city in about 20 minutes. Prices are affordable and there are many departures, with around 40 per day.
- Taxis: two official companies split the market: Apulia Taxis and Nuova Co.Ta.Ba. They charge the same rates which are fixed upfront.
- A hire car: you can choose from more than a dozen different companies. They all await you in the Arrivals Hall of the airport.
