The airline Wizz Air has announced the opening of 4 new routes from Nice Airport, including 2 new destinations, for next summer. A dense schedule that gives a further boost to the growing international connectivity of France’s second largest airport.
On 21 December, Wizz Air gave the green light to ticket sales for the 4 new destinations offered by the airline departing from Nice Côte d’Azur. Two of those destinations are brand-new additions to the airport’s international offer: Tirana, from 28 March, and Cluj, from 1st August onwards. The other two routes, available from 29 March, concern Belgrade and Naples, which are already served from Nice but will now have even greater seating capacity.
“In the current context, the announcement by Wizz Air confirming the opening of four new destinations sends out a strong message of confidence in the attractiveness of our region. It is part of a positive dynamic, marked by the return of numerous air routes, especially transatlantic long-haul flights,” explained Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
Wizz Air already offers flights to Austria, Bulgaria, Hungry, Lithuania, Moldavia, Poland, Romania and Italy, and with every passing year, it reinforces its status as a loyal, increasingly important partner of the French Riviera’s leading airport.
