What to do in
Lyon ?
Lyon isn’t just one of the largest cities in France; it’s also one of the most beautiful! With its majestic plazas, medieval streets, museums, and monuments, it’s a fascinating place for those who take the time to discover it. It’s sometimes accused of being bourgeois and haughty, but a wander through the old city or the Croix-Rousse quarter, a few sips of Moulin-à-Vent or Brouilly wine, a few bites of the indulgent local cuisine and you’ll quickly see these accusations are wholly unjustified. The charm of this city is not just alluring. It’s irresistible!

Lyon, a city made to be shared
See more See lessFeeling like the spark has gone out? Head to Lyon and see if you can’t get lightening to strike! The capital of Gaul is great for a romantic weekend getaway, walking hand in hand along the Rhone or Saone rivers, looking into each other’s eyes in a traditional “bouchon” or chic Michelin-starred restaurant. The city offers many opportunities to come together over culture in all its forms, both refined and mainstream: art, history, fashion, oenology, and so much more. As you explore together, your emotions and desires will begin to reignite, until, upon suddenly finding yourselves in a traboule, one of the famous hidden passageways that weave through the city, lightening finally strikes and forgotten passions emerge. Kiss her! Kiss him!
Is your family all coming together for a holiday? Lyon will ensure everyone has a fantastic time! Climb aboard a boat for a trip down the Rhone and see the city in a different light. Get up above it all by climbing up to the Fourvière, the cradle of ancient Lugdunum, and visit the Gallo-Roman ruins and famous basilica. Head out for some fresh air and nature by getting lost in the 117 hectares of the Parc de la Tête d’Or, one of the largest urban parks in France. At the heart of it lies the Holy Grail for kids: Lyon’s zoological garden. Here you’ll find an African plain full of giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, as well as enclosures dedicated to the preservation of endangered species such as the Amur leopard and Asian lion, plus a deer park and lemur island. A good time for all!
