Checking in at Nice Airport

For your next flight from Nice Airport, you can check in online, or at the airport by going to the check-in desk or the self-service terminals. Once you have checked in, you can get your boarding pass and proceed to identity verification and security.

Online check-in

Depending on which airline you are travelling with, you may be able to check in remotely online. Each airline has its own check-in procedure, so we advise you to consult your e-ticket to find out the best time to check in.  Log into your airline’s website with your booking number and follow the check-in procedure. 

This process allows you to choose your preferred seat: by a window so that you can enjoy one of the most beautiful airport approaches in the world, or next to the aisle so you can move around more easily. Travelling as a family? Make sure you check in well in advance, so that you can get seats together.

You can also check in your hold baggage to save time.  This means you will just need to go to your airline’s baggage drop-off desk when you arrive at the airport.  If you are travelling with hand baggage only, you can go directly to the boarding lounge.

Checking in at an airport check-in desk

Go directly to your airline’s check-in desk to check in at the airport. You can choose your seat from those available and check in your hold baggage. Don’t hesitate to ask the ground staff any questions you might have about your flight. Then go to your boarding gate.

If you are travelling as a family or if your minor child is travelling alone, we recommend that you consult the required documents for check-in before going to your airline’s check-in desk. If you are travelling with your pet, you will need to check in at the check-in desk and declare your animal.

Finally, if you have an e-ticket and you have already checked in, you can ask at your airline’s check-in desk to find out whether you can change your seat number or check in your hold baggage or additional baggage. Please be aware that there may be additional charges for changing your seat or checking in baggage.

Checking in at the self-service terminals

If you have no internet access, you can use the self-service terminals to check in. These are available from 5 hours before your flight takes off, in terminal 1 and terminal 2 of Nice Airport. The ground staff will be happy to help you or provide guidance about the process if necessary.

Once you have your boarding pass, you can proceed directly to your boarding gate, or go to your airline’s baggage check-in desk to drop off your hold baggage.

You can find the check-in deadline on your booking or your flight ticket. It is important to check in on time so that you can board your flight. After the specified time, your booking will be cancelled and you will need to buy a new ticket on another flight with available space.

For short-haul and medium-haul flights, we recommend arriving at Nice Airport 2 hours before your departure time. For long-haul flights, you should arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your departure time. We advise you to contact your airline if you have any doubts about times.

Finally, leave plenty of time for identity checks and security checks, and make sure you get to your boarding gate 30 minutes before take-off.
