Following the call for tenders launched in spring 2023 to renew part of the retail offer in Nice Côte d'Azur's two terminals and a change in brands within the perimeter managed by the company SSP, the airport will be welcoming new travel-retail catering brands by this summer.
Pierre Hermé, the emblem of haute pâtisserie, will be present from June onwards in both terminals, in the boarding area, to present its iconic and seasonal collections of macaroons, as well as a range of soft cakes and cakes to share and ice creams.
At the same time, Ladurée, another world-famous brand, will be opening a takeaway and eat-in sales area in the heart of the public area of terminal 1, accessible not only to travellers but also to their companions and the people of Nice, as it is just a few metres from the tram stop linking the airport to the city centre.
A flight of flavours
Mochi Coffee is a young brand, based in Antibes, but offering a cuisine inspired by the famous Japanese delicacy, mochi, to be discovered in the public area of terminal 2 in a traditional version or revisited with local flavours: Menton lemon blends with yuzu, Grasse rose with pistachio, Gréolières lavender honey with sesame. The store is due to open in early May.
Pokawa, a chain of restaurants founded by two globetrotters, completes this flight of flavours to new horizons, with a wide range of sweet and savoury poké bowls. Halfway between Chirashi and Ceviche, this Hawaiian speciality is made up of marinated raw fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, all served on a base of vinegared rice. An à la carte menu or a menu to suit all tastes and diets, available from now on in the Schengen zone of terminal 2.
A local presence
Café Mauresque is a gastronomic oasis for travellers in search of authentic Nice. Located in the non-Schengen zone of terminal 1, it now offers a wide range of regional tapas, such as "roustidas", slices of rye bread toasts topped with local produce, and emblematic drinks, such as the Mauresque, the Perroquet or a selection of local craft beers.
