As of June 16, easyJet is expanding its existing connections to and from Manchester. With flights three days per week throughout the year, the company is boosting the attractiveness of the French Riviera in Great Britain, the largest source of tourists visiting the region.
Whether they live on the French Riviera or in Manchester, as of June 16 they will have the benefit of a third airline for their family visits, tourism or business trips. With the arrival of easyJet on this air route on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays by A320, Nice Côte d'Azur will now offer a total of 10 flights per week.
With the opening of this new route, easyJet now offers 41 destinations from or to Nice, including 9 to the UK.
"The expansion of our connections with Manchester and the addition of new flights help the drive and influence of our region with British tourists, in particular city-breakers who are so important in our strategy to deseasonalize our traffic and support the economic development of the French Riviera", welcomes Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
The UK is the largest market for foreign travellers to Nice Côte d'Azur airport, representing 11% of our passengers, 55% for tourism, 26% to visit relatives and 19% for business.
Nice Côte d’Azur now offers 122 destinations, of which 98 are in 43 foreign countries.
